The Appalachian decking system is built over a new, or existing, deck frame made from wood, or metal. It works great for elevated decks, docks, stairs, or installed on the ground.
Surface mounted clip to hold down the perimeter of the surface boards. This clip is fastened before mounting the board. (this clip is the same as the Single Fascia Clip)
Starter Clip
These are the primary deck/stair surface boards. They are fastened using the starter clip at the ends, then the grooved clip, which goes between the boards.
Grooved Board

Use to hold down all of the deck surface boards, except the edge.
Used on the exposed perimeter of the deck/stairs, as they have a finished edge. The one side is grooved, and held down using the groove clip. (the groove clip can hold three boards at the same time) The other side, has an internal groove, which is held down, using either the Starter Clip or the Edge Clip.
